Would have to include spilling an almost entire cup of tea on your desk (which is of course covered in semi-important papers I need for work) first thing in the morning.
Well my week ended happily with the hunting for and finding the perfect dress (in company of the beloved Loz) to the great relief of my mother…. and a yummy family dinner at the Un's.
I was thinking this weekend how the mention of the word 'wedding' provokes quite strong and diverse reactions and emotions in the people around you. Whether they be protective, or hostile, or sad, or happy or indescribable…. all these emotions are being flung at you left, right and centre.
There should be training in how to deal with that..
I guess I'm beginning to understand what the next 5 months are going to look like, how stressed I will be, and the absolute highs and lows that will inevitably occur.
Meanwhile the next few weeks will be weird with two moving out and 1 (possibly 2) moving in, two Sarah's in one house, and a fridge just beyond our reach…

So glad to be feeling like doing anything right now
So you might already know that my previous complaining was completely justified when my tonsils decided to blow up and my doctor mentioned the dreaded 'g' word.
So I'm taking this week to rest (and trying not to feel guilty about it)which has been very nice. Although there is alot of frustration involved when you know you need to get stuff done but your body isn't allowing it yet….
So my days have been filled with Alias/ Friends series watching, reading several billion 'graphic novels' which, despite my first trepidations, are actually kinda cool… and ALOT of sleeping.
I did emerge briefly on Saturday to see our Broni be married
…. So cool to see… plus got to catch up with heaps of people including an old childhood friend from Parkes!!
Now, as I am feeling gradually better… I have been looking after the poor fiancee whose knee was reconstructed this week… He is actually a more cheerful patient than I expected
Lets just say in the last few weeks we BOTH have discovered the goodness of Panadeine Forte…
And some yayness is coming my way with Mum and Lucy coming to visit (and shop!!!) this weekend.
Plus a family dinner on Saturday night!!!
And our house will see some comings and goings quite soon…. mixed feelings about that… Makes me realise no matter how much I look forward to the future… I have enjoyed the highs and lows of sharehousing.
Must go eat

Ok…. so how would you pronounce the following words??
TREACLE
Would you say 'tree-cle' or 'tre-kle' (similar to 'trickle')?
FILO (as in the pastry)
Would you say 'fee-low' or 'file-o'?
Thanks for your time

I am totally losing my voice today… and therefore will make up for it by blogging…
I'm going to try to refrain from complaining… I don't think my body is coping right now… plus I think it's fighting off the deadly flu that seems to be travelling around the office.
The new train timetable is weird. In the morning I have to go all the way to Strathfield and then turn around and go back again – just to get to work. Although on the plus side I totally get home 20 mins earlier!!!
The weekend was… madness.
Don't think I stopped at all really. Between my sister and her boyfriend (Eh Steve!) staying with us at a day's notice, and reception venue viewings, and Bangladesh videos, and Willie Wonka, and church, and shopping.
Coolest thing that happened: Steve fixed my dead car for cheap as free… yay!!!
I wish I had an entire day to dedicate to each thing so I could concentrate… but weekends, unfortunately, only have two whole days in which to play. They should change that…
Trying to schedule things for the next 6 months proves to be challenging. The free weekends are dwindling already and we haven't even started yet!! I feel terrible cancelling things and saying no to things… blah.
Ah… my ear just popped…
Had fun last night making a raspberry swirl cake (with help from weirded_out) for Jess and making her a little pile to open in the morning… (in lieu of the usual birthday breakfast feast).
I lied and said it was 150 days before. It's actually 165 (probably).

That I like:
- being silly with someone
- lightly falling rain
- shortbread creams
- dusk after a lazy day
- a good armchair
- dimples
I like about engagementage:
- Having a shoulder to cry on and knowing that he won't think worse of you for it.
- Saying grace and eating a meal together
- Getting bear hugs whenever I want them.
- It being ok to disagree.
- Building dreams
That give me the heebie jeebies:
- unknown brown/grey lump in the bottom of my washiong machine
- scratchings in the roof at night
- blackberry juice and plain salads (hospitals turn you off weird stuff)
That give me warm fuzzies:
- a warm bed
- thinking about a day approx 155 days from now
- Friends I can talk to
- the happiness of people around me
