Well… that was a whopper of a weekend. And my face feels like it’s about to explode.
Let me explain:
Well… that was a whopper of a weekend. And my face feels like it’s about to explode.
Let me explain:
I came home one night this week and Haoran had surprised me by doing a secret dash around the asian supermarket, picking up everything we would need to make our very own dumplings!
It all looked very pretty-like and they were quite yummy.
We are however discussing a new and improved approach to the filling next time around
I’m still sitting at work in the Monday haze that sometimes happens.. wondering what to blog.
I’ve just emerged from a couple of weeks of intense preparation for a work conference in NZ and I’m just waiting for the smoke to clear.. My reward for all that hard work? The cutest stuffed kiwi who now sits on my desk.
The result of being very busy at work is that home time is collapsing on the lounge time.. when I actually can. And no energy to make anything. I did make a bag that I’m semi-happy with.. but that creative zing left as soon as work became crazy. Hopefully it shall return in the week to come where I have a small list of ‘to do’s’ and my bosses are safely deposited in Queenstown.
I did have a very nice brunch on Saturday with the old ‘Girls House’ girls. I think as much as we scratched each other eyes out while living together – you can never break the ‘living together’ bond that is formed. It was good to catch up and analyse our lives and laugh together. In fact we were so eager to talk that food was second priority and Haoran came home to a relative feast of leftovers
.
We’re hoping to take some time off in Easter which I’m very much looking forward to. I feel a bit guilty since I don’t feel a strong need for another holiday just yet… but the opportunity was there and we figured we’d take it. Â
I’ll be getting back to that haze now…
P.S….a small discovery I recently made… IKEA sells the most gorgeous swedish fabric! Bright colours, cool designs and a very nice price tag.
Here he is in all his cuteness..
He was accompanied by my two sisters. Lucy, as a result of being a member of WIRES, often has a helpless wild animal in tow. This particular one is a wallaroo, as opposed to the original popular opinion that he was a kangaroo.
They also brought me a whole bunch of material I am inheriting – which I joyously rummaged through. I’m still sitting and staring at it – dreaming up possibilities.
*sigh*
